兵庫県西宮市・夙川の上流沿い、六甲山麓を望む自然豊かな敷地。
この地に建つ住宅は、建築が主役となるのではなく、風景を引き立てる額縁のような存在でありたいと考えた。

その思想をかたちにするため、建物は川の流れと山の稜線に沿うように折れ曲がり、眺望を暮らしへ取り込む配置構成としている。

中心にはコンクリート打放しの階段を据え、無機質な質感の中に力強さを与える一方で、木や布といった有機的な素材を組み合わせることで、硬質さの中に柔らかなコントラストを生み出している。

上階へと歩を進めると、六甲の山並みが大きなパノラマとして広がり、スキップフロアを介して阪神間の眺望までも暮らしへと引き込む。

こうした空間に施主が選び取ったインテリアが加わり、建築と生活が互いに呼応しながら、ひとつの風景をかたちづくっていく。

外部空間においては、景石を点在させ、地の重心を整えながら四季の彩りを添え
それが建築と風景を緩やかにつなぎ、日常を自然の延長へと溶かし込む役割を担っている。

この地のポテンシャルを丁寧に引き出し、建築が風景に溶け込みながら、その魅力をいっそう鮮やかに浮かび上がらせる取り組みができたのではないかと思う。

Located along the upper reaches of the Shukugawa River in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, this site enjoys a rich natural setting with expansive views toward the Rokko mountain range.
Rather than asserting itself as the focal point, the residence was envisioned as a subtle frame—an architectural presence that enhances the surrounding landscape.

To embody this philosophy, the building’s form gently bends in response to the flow of the river and the ridgeline of the mountains, creating a layout that draws the grand natural scenery into everyday life.

At the heart of the home stands a béton brut concrete staircase, its raw, inorganic texture lending a quiet strength. This is thoughtfully balanced by the use of organic materials such as wood and fabric, introducing a soft contrast that tempers the structure’s solidity

Ascending to the upper level, the mountain panorama unfolds dramatically, while a series of split-level floors extends the view toward the Hanshin area, blurring the boundary between interior and landscape.

The client’s carefully curated interior selections further enrich the space, creating a dialogue between architecture and daily life—together composing a singular, living landscape.

In the exterior spaces, strategically placed landscape stones anchor the site and introduce seasonal variation, mediating between architecture and nature. These elements work to dissolve the boundary between indoors and out, integrating everyday life seamlessly into the rhythms of the natural world.

This project seeks to draw out the full potential of the site with sensitivity, allowing architecture to blend into the landscape while simultaneously heightening its inherent beauty.
